If you have an individual PACER account that was created prior to Aug(also known as a Legacy account), you must upgrade it before you can electronically file in a NextGen court. Those approved for e-filing are unable to use a “legacy” PACER account (one created before August 2014 that has not been “upgraded” yet) or a shared PACER account. Non-prisoner pro se litigants and attorneys who have been approved by the Eastern District of Texas (EDTX) for e-filing must use their “upgraded” and individual PACER account.
